Medical school is hard. By the middle of your 4 years in medical school, your school will have you start thinking about where you want to go for residency. Some of you have been thinking about this since before med school. Unlike the science they teach you throughout med school, getting into residency can be a very imperfect science. The easiest way to get into your chosen field, residency, or part of the country is to get great board scores. If you’re going for a competitive specialty, good board scores will get you into the door, but won’t be a guarantee because everyone will have equally good scores. This is where the imperfect science comes in. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of good information out there on how to navigate the matching maze. There’s good advice and bad advice. We created this website to be a comprehensive source of information for all your questions. There are many strategies but few guarantees.
This book provides valuable information to help you along your journey to residency. We have gone through the process using the strategies highlighted in this book. We include here tips that will help you get your application noticed that medical schools neglect to share.
We understand that sometimes you need to speak to a human, so feel free to give us a shout.
